Denise Denny's Story
Listed in yearbooks as Denise Friis, but everyone calls me Denny.
In high school, I always thought I'd marry John C. ('86) It didn't wok out that way. and we split after high school. He's a great guy, but haven't heard from him in about a dozen years. Met his wife shortly after their first kid was born, she was wonderful.
I was blessed with never dating a loser, the few guys who could call me their ex are all wonderful people. I am truly thankful for that.
Years ago, I stopped fighting the fact that I was a geek and became a MUCH happier person. Someone should have told me in high school that geek would be a label I would one day proud of - could have saved me a lot of grief.

m - the day before our first kid was born. We now have 3 wonderful homeschooled kids.
Funny story - My last year and a half of high school, I did not live in Brantley's district and lied about my address to continue attending. My little sister transferred to Lyman and graduated there. She married a wonderful guy who went LBHS (Jordan H '87). The love of my life had an elective class with her at Lyman. We both met and started dating our future spouses at work and only later discovered that they went to school with the other sister!
I can be found on facebook as Denny Zee in Apopka. Picture normally shows me or the family in some sort of medieval attire or a deuce and a half military truck. No, I didn't join the military, the deuce is just a fun toy we have.
